The first spa experience in my life surprised me deeply, it overturned my beliefs about what health means and how I looked at the medical system until then, as well as the preconceptions I had about Spa. It suddenly awakened my curiosity and the need to discover the mysteries of this field, the energy and vigor to start something that had absolutely nothing to do with everything I had worked and learned up to that point. I told here.
I founded despreSpa.ro with the idea of communicating to everyone about the benefits of the spa, what I felt and experienced on my own skin: the fact that The spa is not just a moment of pampering, but much more than that: it's health - in the truest sense of the word.
Spa experiences are specifically designed to totally relax and balance you. And not yesterday, not today - but for thousands of years - ever since there have been Polynesian, Balinese, Oriental, etc. rituals that aimed to harmonize the connection of body, mind and soul.
When the 5 senses (hearing, sight, smell, smell, taste and touch) relax simultaneously, the brain has no choice but to quiet down. Not because it wants to, but simply because it's not up to it. This is why even 15 minutes is enough to totally unwind. This is why I could say that the spa is the quickest way to relax. But spa experiences generally last at least 50 minutes.
This is why a massage in a salon or at home - if the atmosphere doesn't allow for simultaneous relaxation - will have major benefits on your body - but it won't relax you mentally.
In December 2010 we hit the road with despreSpa.ro.
Since then, it's been 15 years of growing together - us and you, the readers, the spa professionals, the centers that have been with us since the beginning.
