My predominant element is Fire. I came into contact with the elements about 13 years ago, when I discovered TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) from a series of articles written by an acupuncturist doctor for our blog. I immediately found myself in Fire.
Obviously, like everything in life, it's not good to have one predominant element. The ideal is to be in balance.
I failed to achieve this balance, so Fire I was, and Fire I still am today, after more than 13 years of knowing what I would have to do to tame the fire and grow other elements.
Only that I like the energy it gives meso I'm in no hurry to tame him.
But there are also times, if one element dominates too much, there are repercussionsI can feel it in the racing rhythm of my mind, the rosacea in my cheeks and the fragmented sleep for nights on end. That's how I felt the other day.
And what's the most relaxing option of all?
Yes, yes, exactly: Spa - a facial, a hydromassage, a warm emotional shower, rooms with blue light and water sounds.
I'd been to the opening of The Elements in the summer, and I'd been thinking about them.
By then I toured the Spa and, although I was impressed by all the rooms, it was the Fire room that attracted me the most.
But now, I'd gone to balance it a bit.
At The Elements, choosing your room is considered a personal moment and part of the ritual of your visit. There are no strict rules or recommendations for certain types of treatments.
That's why everyone can choose their room according to what they feel closest or most comfortable at that moment.
For some it may be the Earth's need for stability, for others the cleansing and fluidity of Water, the freedom of Air or the transformative energy of Fire.
The choice becomes like a form of inner connection, a gesture of letting your intuition and the state you seek guide you. Obviously, the reception and the therapist are there for any questions.
As I said, I chose the "Water" room. But before I tell you about my experience there, let me give you a glimpse of the new Spa in Bucharest.
The Elements Luxury Boutique Spa concept was inspired by the four fundamental elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire. They chose to bring them together because they have always defined the balance of life and the universe.
Each room is built as its own story and has a unique design, created to transport you into the world of that element, with light, textures and details that give it authenticity - and allow it to make its mark on the customer.
Everything in the spa, from the exclusive brands to the architecture, has been designed as a multi-sensory experience.
Denisa and Nick Tache, themselves spa regulars, built it out of a desire to offer an exclusive retreat, an experience that unites the world's best spa brands into one story.
They have carefully chosen every piece of decor, furniture and state-of-the-art technology and have even created their own multi-sensory rituals. Every detail was designed to touch not only the body but also the mind and soul of the client.

As I pulled into the parking lot, a valet immediately opened my door and led me into Spa.
The reception is minimalist, with warm lights and natural materials, designed as a portal from the outside world to the inner sanctum. I had the same warm feeling when interacting with the ladies at the reception.
They invited me into the relaxation lounge, where I sat in an armchair. I admired natural plants and diffused lights, until they brought me a glass of kombucha tea with berries and a glass of water. I would have gotten the ginger, but I knew the fire was rising. Later they also returned with the health form.
Also in the lounge is the retail boutique area, where you can discover the Valmont, Aromatherapy Associates and Subtle Energies products - which they work with in their spa treatments, and where you can buy them to continue your spa experience at home.
I was looking at the products, when Andra, the spa manager, who I have known for many years, came in, so I went straight to the topics I had come for almost an hour before the ritual started.
They set out for The Elements Spa to become a landmark of luxury and balance in Bucharest, a place where people come not just for the treatments, but for the tranquility, the confidence and the certainty that they are in a space that is totally special.
Short-term, want to bring a new standard of refinement and privacy to the wellness area.
Medium-term, dreams to build a close community, made up of people who feel part of this story and who choose to come back not just for the rituals, but for everything that the place conveys to them, for how they feel in the spa.
And in the long term, the aim is for The Elements Luxury Boutique Spa to become a brand of reference, recognized for excellence and authenticity, a name associated with international standards and the idea of balance lived in the most refined form.
It all starts with the brands that bring treatments to life: Valmont, Aromatherapy Associates and Subtle Energies, names that are recognized internationally as the benchmark of excellence.
Continue with Libra bed in Gharieni, a rare piece of technology, used in the world's most exclusive spas, and with a team of therapists trained by each brand's top trainers.
Under the guidance Simone Negrilă, multiple world champion and judge at the biggest international wellness competitions, the team has been trained to the highest industry standards.
Ana Tsankova, one of the big names who contributed to this preparation, brought a level of finesse and rigor.
Everything is built as a singular experience, marked by intimacy, discretion and exclusivity, where each guest feels as if the space has been created just for them.
They have chosen to work with three leading brands in the global wellness industry: Valmont, Aromatherapy Associates and Subtle Energies.
Valmont, from Switzerland, is a brand synonymous with luxury and performance in skincare. Their products are based on years of scientific research and innovative formulas using cellular DNA and active molecules extracted from nature. Results are fast, visible and long-lasting, which is why it is considered one of the most exclusive brands in the world.
Aromatherapy Associates, from the UK, brings the magic of pure essential oils extracted from rare plants and flowers. Each bottle contains a combination designed to touch both body and mind: relaxation, clarity, energy or emotional healing. It's a brand with tradition and international recognition, used in the most prestigious spas in the world, and at The Elements Luxury Boutique Spa it is for the first time in its complete form in Romania.
Subtle Energies, created in Australia, is a brand that combines Indian Ayurvedic philosophy with modern research in aromatherapy and phytotherapy. Their products use highly concentrated and rare ingredients and the treatments inspired by them are geared towards both inner balance and skin and body health. It's a brand dedicated to those seeking deep transformation and rebalancing. Subtle Energies doesn't exist in many countries in Europe, and in Romania it is available exclusively at The Elements Spa.
They chose these brands because they reflect their philosophy: excellence, authenticity and exclusivity.
They're not commercial brands, you won't find them on the shelves of just any store, but only in the world's top spas. Choosing them is your guarantee that every treatment at The Elements Luxury Boutique Spa is of the highest quality and delivers results that are immediately felt and seen over time.
The treatments at The Elements Luxury Boutique Spa are designed as complete rituals.
Each session begins with a discussion between the therapist and the client to understand the client's current state and what he or she wants: deep relaxation, revitalization, detoxification, or perhaps an energy boost. Depending on the moment, the treatment, the oils, the music and even the room that best suits his or her needs is chosen.
Spa treatments include relaxing and revitalizing massages, customized therapies for stress, chronic fatigue or muscle pain, aromatherapy rituals that work on both body and mind, Indian-inspired Ayurvedic therapies using rare combinations of herbs and oils, and rejuvenating or detoxifying facials.
The wellness part includes more complex experiences, such as rituals that combine several techniques and products: multi-sensory sessions on the Libra bed at Gharieni, where vibrations, light and water come together in a unique way, or the holistic Subtle Energies therapies, inspired by modern Ayurveda, aimed at bringing back balance between body, mind and emotions.
After Andra had piqued my curiosity, I couldn't wait to find out more about the Signature Facial Treatment I was about to have.
Because he knew about my rosacea, he chose Subtle Energies and assured me that there would be no trace of redness on my face after the ritual. The gentle yet effective formulas of these products are designed to respect the skin's balance, providing comfort and protection at the same time.
He led me to the locker room, and after I changed, we went up to the Water Room together.
As soon as I walked in, I saw a spectacular piece: a gravity fountain with water flowing backwards, a symbol that anything is possible here and that the world can be reinterpreted in surprising ways. It is a rarity, inspired by AYA Universe Dubai. The movement seems hypnotic, alive; just looking at it becomes a meditation in itself.
As I looked away, I noticed that every detail in the room seemed to flow.
The space is designed for privacy and exclusivity. Above the jacuzzi, the ceiling faithfully reproduces the sensation of diving, with gently moving waves and light streaming through them.
The whole room looks like a miniature ocean, a reminder that water also heals, not just cleanses. And fluidity is the power to remain in harmony with all that exists.
Ana told me that this room is meant for detox treatments, deep relaxation and de-stressing, but also for times when inner cleansing and release is needed.
He invited me to sit on the bed and confirmed that we were going to do Signature Facial Massage.
Because Andra knew I wasn't a fan of machines, I was scheduled for the first 60 minutes of the ritual.
But it's good to know that you can opt for the 90-minute option, which adds Byonik's Byonik facial cell rejuvenation technology, combining cold laser technology with hyaluronic acid and antioxidants that repair the skin barrier, stimulate collagen production and provide visible firmness.
Ana started the treatment with a first lymphatic drainage, whose role is to activate the lymph circulation, to eliminate accumulated fluids in the facial area and to accelerate the elimination of toxins, reducing the appearance of fatigue.
Then followed the cleansing with exclusive professional products from the Subtle Energies - Soothe and Enrich range, specially designed for sensitive skin.
An award-winning skincare collection packed with antioxidants and deeply moisturizing active ingredients for sensitive, dehydrated and irritated skin.
This soothing collection defuses heat and inflammation in the skin while providing anti-aging benefits by stimulating collagen and deeply moisturizing.
With powerful ingredients like Neem, Coriander Seed or Rhu Khus (known as Vetiver Soul, harvested in the wild; this beautiful emerald green viscose oil helps nourish and rejuvenate dehydrated skin), it's a range that helps repair and protect skin and is a powerful collagen promoter and balances sebum production.
Next, she applied a tonic flavored with a unique blend of rare floral waters, combining distilled rose water, Kewda and a hydrodistilled vetiver known as Rhu Khus and an enzymatic peel, which promotes cell renewal and prepares the skin for the next steps.
It was so smooth, I didn't even realize that was the peel.
After the peeling, I applied the mask. It contains a potent blend of ancient active ingredients such as Neem and Amla, known for their ability to stimulate collagen and hyaluronic acid production, combined with herbal extracts including Brahmi, recognized for its cooling and soothing properties, and Chaulmoogra, used in ancient India to soothe, purify and rejuvenate the skin.
There was an aroma of pure rose water, aloe vera and meringue extracts. I had the mask on for 15 minutes, but I didn't even know when it was over.
After the mask was removed, a new lymphatic drainage session followed to stimulate microcirculation and facilitate the elimination of toxins, so that I would be left with a brighter and fresher look.
Ana continued with a massage to stretch and tone the facial muscles in order to restore the elasticity of the tissues and contour the facial lines for an immediate lifting effect.
It felt like a firm but very relaxing massage, I was praying it would never end.
The ritual ends with a facial massage using oils from the same Subtle Energies - Soothe and Enrich range, recognized for its soothing and regenerating properties.
These oils are intended to provide intense moisturization, give the skin suppleness and a radiant appearance, while inducing a state of deep relaxation. The end result was a smooth, toned and revitalized complexion, coupled with a feeling of well-being that immediately reflected on mental relaxation, not just the body.
After the treatment, I was invited to stay for a while while my body and mind integrate the effects of the ritual. They invited me to enjoy some more tea, fine matcha or even specialty coffee. Ana told me that I should consider this moment as a continuation of the experience, a part of it: a time dedicated to stillness, refinement and reconnecting with oneself.
Unfortunately, I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked, because I had to go to an event that evening.
But I'll definitely be back before the end of the year, because I really have to try a body massage with Simona Negrilă - massage trainer, multi-awarded at international massage championships, with 8 gold medals and the title of World Wellness Massage Champion - in the fire room, which has been on my mind for months. And what better time than winter, when it's cold and you need as much fire as possible?
The The Elements SpaThe spa, balance is not an abstract concept: it has light, texture, smell, temperature, and top spa treatments. It settles into your skin, relaxes your mind, and I assure you it stays there for the long haul.
