Chi Kung - system to preserve health, vitality and longevity
Chi Kung for good health

Chi Kung to preserve health, vitality and longevity. Chi Kung is an ancient Chinese system that also has a very strong spiritual side.

Chi Kung involves harmony between all levels of human nature (physical, mental and spiritual), harmony with nature, avoiding excesses and encouraging calmness and freedom from the negative.

Chi (Qi) means "breath" and "air" and, by extension, energy and vitality.

Kung (gong) means "work" and expresses the mastery gained through exercise.

Chi kung (Qigong) means working with energy.

Who (Qi) is the vital energy that is worked with in all Qigong practices.

Qi is the cornerstone of all matter, it is the fundamental building block of all visible and invisible things and phenomena.

Qi is the fundamental element of the three levels of the human being: body, energy and mind.

Like a god-like entity in Christian religions, Asians believe that inner energy is divine and is found in absolutely every molecule or particle on Earth.

Chi Kung for good health: Chi kung principles

"The Principle of the Three Forces and the Three Treasures" - The Trinity found in many world religions is manifested in the Taoist tradition at the level of the universe through the Three Forces of Heaven (tien), Earth (di) and Humanity (ren). At the level of the human being, these correspond to the Three Treasures which are essence (jing), energy (qi) and spirit (shen).

The principles of Chi kung:

Prenatal and postnatal;

Water (hou) and fire (shui);

Moving (dung) and not moving (jing);

Inside (nei) and outside (wai).

All matter on Earth is composed and animated by the five elemental and primordial energies. According to the Yellow Emperor's "Treatise on Internal Medicine", these five elemental energies are: wood, fire, earth, earth, metal and water. Each elemental energy is associated with a major organ and with some helping organs, as follows:

Wood is associated with the liver and gallbladder;

Fire is associated with the heart and small intestine;

The Earth is associated with the spleen, pancreas and stomach;

The metal is associated with the lungs and large intestine;

Water is associated with the kidneys and bladder.

Each energy and therefore, each organ corresponds to a color:

- green for the liver;

- red for the heart;

- yellow for earth;

- white for lungs;

- kidney blue.

Chi kung is a method of traditional Chinese medicine that combines gentle body movements, mental concentration and breathing to increase a person's internal energy.

As part of Chinese medicine, Chi Kung is based on the principle that illness is caused by an imbalance in the flow of a person's vital energy. Regular practice thus strengthens health and prevents illness.

These techniques are an inexhaustible source of tranquility, health and vitality, while being an ideal exercise for maintaining physical fitness and mental tone in conditions of daily tension and stress.

Benefits:

- cardio-vascular system: chi kung decreases heart rate and increases blood flow and cardiac volume, improving ventricular function; it also improves peripheral and cerebral circulation and regulates blood pressure;

- system respirator: chi kung regulates breathing rhythm, improves the volume of pulmonary and alveolar ventilation;

- system digestive: chi kung improves the functions of the stomach and colon, regulates and improves bowel activity, strengthens the liver and pancreas;

- nervous system: protects the cerebral cortex through an inhibitory mechanism and regulates the vegetative nervous system;

- endocrine system: regulates and improves endocrine functions (pituitary, thyroid, testicular, ovarian, adrenal and pancreatic glands);

- the immune system: corrects thymus alterations, increases the number and capacity of lymphocytes, increases immunoglobulins, as well as the number and activity of macrophage cells;

- locomotor system: strengthens bones and prevents osteoporosis, increases the elasticity of muscles and tendons;

- metabolism: activates and regulates the metabolism of lipids (cholesterol) and sugars.

Health preservation: Practicing Chi Kung

Exercises can be grouped in different ways: by dynamics, by usefulness, by body position.

So there are dynamic exercises and static exercises. The dynamic practices are characterized by slow movements correlated with breathing.

The best known exercise is "Tai Chi Chuan"(which I wrote about in the previous article), which is both a powerful internal martial art and a dynamic chi kung practice.

Other examples include "Tan Tien Chi kung" (for accumulating vital energy) or "walking Chi kung".

Static practices involve external stillness of the body combined with internal movement of energy. These include healing meditations such as "Inner Suras", "The Six Healing Sounds", "Microcosmic Orbit".

There are also therapeutic exercises, martial exercises and meditative practices.

According to the position of the body, there are exercises performed standing, such as "The Eight Pieces of Brocard", exercises performed with movement, such as "Walking Chi Kung" or internal martial arts in general, exercises that can be practiced from the seated position and exercises practiced on the ground, in the lying position, exercises practiced by weak or sick people who cannot practice the more complex forms.

Cultivating "nature" (human nature, in particular) presupposes everything that has to do with transient human existence, with the material, the material world.

Life refers to the primordial aspects of human existence, the universal spirit and energy.

Chi Kung is the essence and basis of a healthy, happy and harmonious life.

Study it and you will realize a higher level of knowledge and self-awareness!
